I hope everyone enjoyed Father's Day. I have a tradition of making date pinwheels for my dad. This year I altered the recipe to make them more healthy by using sucanat and whole wheat. Sucanat is evaporated can juice and a more natural, healthy form of sugar. My kids scarfed the extras down quickly so I guess they were just as good with my healthy alterations.
I didn't have anything to put the cookies in so I found these formula cans and made labels for them. I even put the ingredients on the side and some Father's Day quotes.
What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteLooks great. I have mod podged #10 cans for cookie jars. I do love the formula can. I bet your dad loved it.
ReplyDeleteI made cookies for fathers day too. I wish I had formula cans to work with. Those look so nice. My dads got Christmas tins. :(

ReplyDeleteCute idea. Great packaging.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for cookie packaging! Where do you buy the Sucranat? Do you substitute it 1 for 1 for sugar? Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeletevery resourceful!
ReplyDeleteSounds yummy, would you post the cookie recipe too? Maybe by next Father's Day I'll have my life in better order and I could make these and get them in the mail for my Dad.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a great idea! I don't have a baby right now, but I'm going to start saving my other cans. So cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! That looks adorable!

I'd love the recipe, too. I use Sucanat and other sweeteners like it for just about all of my baking, substituting it for "regular" sugar. LOVE your blog, by the way!
